Finnish hard rocking metal band Suicide Chain released their new single “Wretchild Lullaby” on Friday 26 September 2025. The song, which combines nu and groove metal with an unabashed attitude, will appear on all major streaming platforms.
Viljami Jämsä, the lead guitarist of the Jyväskylä, Finland based band, known for their relentless stage presence, says the song was originally written with Pyry Matilainen of band S.P.I.T.
“The song was inspired by a chorus Pyry put together. Wretchild Lullaby is very much a hybrid of nu-metal, groove metal and pop. Although it sounds like a ragbag, the concoction works together pretty damn well. Bouncy metal with your back to the floor! We’ll have your caps flying behind your back, when we rock this tune” Jämsä promises.
Wretchild Lullaby was recorded at Vertti Jokela’s studio in Reisjärvi, Finland last summer.
“Vertti, who was also the producer, really made the song what it is today with his sound engineering skills,” Jämsä says.
Suicide Chain’s first single Cold Blood was released in autumn 2024. The band, formed at the beginning of the same year, consists of:

Viljami Jämsä (vocals and lead guitar)
Vertti Norrkniivilä (lead guitar)
Onni Isomöttönen (bass)
Jasper Makkonen (drums)
