VOID just released their new EP, titled Creature of Habit, today, November 14 via UNFD.

Get it here.

Today, the band has shared “The Song of the Summer.” Listen here.

“‘Song of the Summer’ is one of my favorite songs we’ve ever done,” says singer Benny Scholl. “It has Chris [Echols, guitar] doing vocals in the first verse and our good friend Travis [Moseley] from Colorblind on the second verse. This is the first time we’ve ever had three prominent vocalists featured throughout the track, and a song in this vein is something we’ve always wanted to do!”The EP is meant to pull the curtain back a bit for AVOID’s fans.

Creature of Habit is a batch of songs that mean so much to us,” Scholl. “It’s a culmination of everything myself and the rest of the guys have been through the last few years. The ups, the downs, and everything in between. Everyone sees the big show photo on instagram, and the tour posters, and all of the ‘cool’ things carefully crafted that we all post. But not everyone sees the struggles we all face behind the scenes. It’s not always easy, but even at its hardest, this is what we love to do.

The band also states, “It was so fun for us to experiment with some new sounds while also getting back in touch with our roots and songs that we feel truly sound like AVOID.”

Lastly, AVOID have shared the video for the previously released single “Sour Apple.” Watch it here.

AVOID answers the question “What if Dale Earnhardt, Guy Fieri, and Steve-O started a Spinal Tap cover band?” in spirit, ethos, and energy. And it kicks ass.

Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Seattle, this four-piece is on a mission to foster a sense of community through their genre-defying sound. Drawing from their hometown’s rich musical legacy, AVOID craft a dynamic musical mix that captures the essence of nostalgia while pushing boundaries into uncharted territory. With NASCAR and Fortnite as their fuel, AVOID aim to champion inclusivity and revive the spirit of heavy music with a fresh, passionate approach. AVOID are ready to take things to the next level. Their upcoming release promises to deliver the same infectious energy and artistic flair that fans have come to love, while reminding us to have fun along the way.
