Marking three decades as one of rock’s most enduring and beloved bands, BUSH release a more intimate version of “Swallowed.” First released on the landmark 1996 album Razorblade Suitcase, the track became a soundtrack to many people’s lives.

Years of playing it live has, of course, reshaped the song for both the band and fans. This new version adds an extra layer of tenderness thanks to a choral ensemble.

Gavin Rossdale on the release shares: “There’s something about stripping a song all the way back to its DNA, the melody has all the power. I wanted ‘Swallowed’ to feel like a hymn.”

Following the release of their latest album “I Beat Loneliness,” the band is currently on their Land of Milk and Honey tour, with recent stops at Brooklyn Paramount and then Stagecoach this past weekend. The North American run continues through May 24, closing out at BottleRock Festival in Napa, California, before heading overseas for a European leg and then continuing to Australia in September.

BUSH, the iconic London-formed band that helped define rock music in the ’90s with their landmark 1994 debut Sixteen Stone, continues to be a commanding presence in music. The band’s follow-up album Razorblade Suitcase (1996), which features one of their most defining tracks “Swallowed,” further cemented their global success and expanded their sonic identity. With over 24 million records sold, 1.1 billion streams, and a string of No. 1 singles, Gavin Rossdale (vocals, guitar), Chris Traynor (guitar), Corey Britz (bass), and Nik Hughes (drums) remain a vital force in the genre. Following the release of their latest studio album I Beat Loneliness in 2025 and a major tour this year, BUSH shows no signs of slowing down.
