Review by Tammy Lomax for MPM
Get ready, because Canadian rock titans Nickelback are back and firing on all cylinders!
They are officially dropping their 11th studio album Everything Under The Sun on October 30th 2026.
This marks a thrilling new chapter for the band, representing their debut release under Virgin Music Group following their departure from BMG.
“Make Me Love You” bursts onto the scene as the next massive single, hot on the heels of hard-hitting tracks “Rattle The Cage” “Bones For The Crows” and “Leave Me Behind.”
The lyrics in “Make Me Love You” dive headfirst into the raw uncertainty of letting someone close after a bruising heartache. Perfectly capturing the high-voltage tension of wanting to fall for someone while questioning if it’s worth the potential pain. Compared to their previous single releases, this track hits on a far deeper emotional level. It is an incredibly relevant, bold step with their ambitious new era at Virgin Music Group!
Musically, this single is absolutely great. It captures unforgettable melodic hooks whilst driving a steady rhythm, in true peak Nickelback style, smashing it to bits with a wall of guitars.
Same goes for Chad Kroeger vocals, he delivers pure nostalgia and brings back his signature raw, raspy, and earnest vocal tone. He shifts smoothly from hesitant restraint in the verses to an urgent, soaring plea on the chorus.
This is pure classic Nickelback and I cant wait for this album release.
