Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Good music never goes out of fashion and few artists have proved this with such style or conviction as Sweet. From their first emergence onto the scene at the start of the 70’s, through their peak commercial years in the middle of the decade and right up until now, they’ve never faltered in providing some of the greatest rock around, all sprinkled with more than a touch of Glam.

This re-recording of their 2002 track has as much verve and passion as anything they’ve previously released and joins a back catalogue that’s the envy of all, it standing as a living, breathing testament to just what master craftsmen they are.

With the great, chiming riff from Andy Scott and the honeyed tones of Paul Manzi, you’re immediately hooked, the three-part harmonies with Lee Small and irresistible chorus stamped with all the hallmarks of classic Sweet that have made them legends.

A slice of timeless and peerless hard rocking glam, seriously, it doesn’t get any better than this.
