London UK based guitarist and singer Jack J Hutchinson has announced his February 2022 UK tour to coincide with the release of his highly anticipated new album ‘The Hammer Falls’, which will be released February 4 via Eyesore Merch and available for pre order now on CD/vinyl and bundles.
The tour features a highlight being Jack’s largest UK headline show to date, “The new album is the heaviest music I have ever written, with big riffs and choruses that are perfect for massive crowds. London is a special place for me as it is where I really developed my career as a musician, and to launch the record at O2 Islington upon the eve of its release will be really special.“
“In addition we are visiting a few new places I haven’t played before that fans have been calling out for…” Jack goes on to express his thanks to venues, “plus several of the venues that have been really supportive of me over the course of my career.
The heavily guitar driven album was co-produced by Josh Norton-Cox, recorded at Momentum Studios, Devon with additional production and mixing by Josiah J Manning (Inglorious, Kris Barras Band, Moriaty, Wille and The Bandits), alongside mastering by the Grammy award winning Stardelta (Noel Gallagher).
Going on to enthuse about his latest collection of songs , ”We’ve thrown everything but the kitchen sink at this record. It’s a step up from my previous albums both in terms of songwriting but also production. We tracked most of the songs live in a room together, which was really important to the ethos of the sound.”
“It’s my most personal record to date, but it touches on wider themes such as mortality and loss which affect us all.” muses Jack reflecting upon a period of time which was challenging for all walks of life, “It’s hard hitting, rammed with heavy riffs and guitar solos, but with lyrics and melodies that will hopefully touch and move people. It’s a banger, the songs are fun to play and have gone down very well on tour!”
The exuberant and crowd pleasing frontman guitarist has toured internationally in Brazil, Spain, Russia, France and Germany to great acclaim and festival appearances include Planet Rock Rockstock, BluesFest at the O2 Arena and Ramblin’ Man Fair amongst many and he recently completed an island breadth spanning tour of the UK. “Considering the chaos of the last 18 months I’m still amazed we actually pulled it off. It’s been great to be back on the road and we can’t wait to kick on in February.“
