It seems like the plans of world domination by HAWXX are unstoppable, their freight train momentum carrying them out of this year and into the stratosphere for 2022.
New single ‘Hologram’ is yet another jaw dropping example of their craft, the heaviness of the oh-so-taught riffs that relentlessly slice straight through to the bone whilst the drums and bass crush what little is left alive before giving way to the soaring chorus.
The quartet have certainly found the sweet spot between evisceration and beauty, their ability to balance the dynamics of punishing metallic monsters with honey sweet vocal harmonies one of the biggest joys of this year.
Add this to their ability to write songs about subjects that actually matter, and you’ve got one of the most powerful combinations on the planet. ‘Hologram’ is yet another ferocious display of their strength and something that demands to be heard.
