Swedish lords of all Vikings, Amon Amarth have resurfaced for the first time since their brilliant 2019 album release, ‘Berserker’, working hard in preparations for new material which is potentially scheduled for release this summer.

They are celebrating every single fan that comes to their shows and join forces doing the ‘epic viking row’. The single ‘Put Your Back Into The Oar’ is out now and for all yours truly.

The single was recorded and mixed in Sweden January last year via the bands own label, Victorious Music.

The video was produced by Twin V, directed by Ryan Mackfall and was shot in England over three days in October 2021.

Later this year they will be teaming up with Machine Head on the ‘Vikings and Lionhearts’ tour across Europe, accompanied with special guests, The Halo Effect.

Allow the Viking metal to be cast in front of me, time for me to take my quest upon this new single. “Row, Row” May Odin guide you as you row to your destiny in uncharted seas.

What an absolute stomping way to begin. Within a second of hearing those guitars and deep vocals I thought, I have missed these metal lords. It’s brilliant, fresh and the atmosphere feels very honourable.

The backing vocals and chanting forge with the memorable riffs and the blasting drums. The guitars immensely influence the power behind the music and they have definitely nailed their return, what an emotion.

Amon Amarth are back and what a welcome. It is time to go forth into battle with all heathens.
