Ferocious and without any intention of even pausing to catch a breath, HAWXX are merciless, their rise inexorable.
Heart Play Dead’ is yet another slice of huge sounding, eviscerating modern metal that’s as full of beauty as it is of monster riffs and giant drums.
Vocalist Anna Papadimitriou seemingly weaves together her melodic siren song with something full of razor-sharp hidden barbs and the guitarwork of Hannah Staphnill can cause seismic shocks big enough to destroy whole city blocks.
It thunders, purrs, twists and conquers. It can only be a matter of time before HAWXX are begged to headline every festival on the planet.
