There’s probably not many a band in the world that produces music quite as quite extraordinary or beautiful as The Blackheart Orchestra.
Capable of stopping you in your tracks, the duo of Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington weave their magic in this delightful and heartachingly wonderful track that delves deep whilst also adds the sort of gloriously accessible melodic Prog pop that Renaissance used to make their own in the late 70’s.
Imagine Kate Bush and Katie Perry collaborating in a stripped back and pure recording that reaches up and touches the heavens and you’ll start to understand just what’s happening here.
With a short, but poignant, spoken word section by the brilliant 1960’s British philosopher Alan Watts and a video shot partly near a cliff edge of the South Downs, the effect is nothing short of striking. If this doesn’t make you fall in love, you’d better check your soul.
