Review by Maria Glover for MPM

With a song so insanely catchy and ludicrously popular, it was bound to happen. Rag N Bone Man’s ‘Human’ has been covered in an indulgent and gratifying metal style by American alt-rockers Hearts & Hand Grenades.

Starting off with a primordial scream and pounding beat, this cover has everything I want and need; killer riffs and melodic vocals that blur the lines between genres. What a phenomenal voice. They seamlessly blend raw and emotional with the wonderfully smooth and angelic.

It’s thrillingly powerful and poignant and I’m completely in love. I prefer it to the original.

With a UK tour announced for next year I’ll have to start saving up for merch.
