Just a few days before the release of their latest single ‘Birdcage’ brightly burning Swansea-based band Zac And The New Men sat down to chat with Metal Planet Music’s Gary Spiller.
Reinventing rock for a modern generation melding their influences with a 21st century edge. Their latest single uses the metaphor of a bird refusing to fly despite the cage being broken to depict someone trapped in a situation that can’t see their way out. What such a situation makes us feel like when there’s no solution and we feel isolated; we don’t have to face things alone and that there is help out there.

Likened to Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Royal Blood and Black Stone Cherry there is without a shadow of doubt an inner maturity beyond their youthful years that is expressed in their songcraft. Zac, Oli, Will and James are deservedly grabbing attention wherever they play.
Tearing up stages and venues alike; bear in mind these guys are just 18 years old they put on one heck of a show. With a sound firmly encased in catchy blues riffs, huge vocal performances and face melting guitar solos this is a band that is for the masses for sure.
