To see Within Temptation at the moment is to witness a band at the height of their powers, as anyone who caught them on the recent Worlds Collide tour with Evanescence will attest.
With an epic scale of production and levels of pyro and flames that reached near Rammstein levels, the Dutch masters of Goth Symphonic Metal laid waste to global arenas in no uncertain terms, their material as dazzling as the show.
New single ‘The Fire Within’ taps into that enormous power, swept along by a barrage of guitars, keys
and the soaring vocals of Sharon den Adel, the massive hook and huge melody is irresistible.
The driving force and groove, paired to a sensitive production, gives the structure a dynamic that gracefully brings the highs and lows in one, adrenaline fuelled rush.
Accompanied by a dazzling video that captures the band on tour both onstage and off, it’s the perfect treat for these long Winter nights, memories stirred and a promise of even more to come.
