Review by Tammy Lomax for MPM

Obituary are the leaders of death metal and have been going strong since 1984. Coming from Florida, they are one of the most dominating death metal bands of all time.

‘Dying Of Everything’ is their new album due for release on 13th January via Relapse Records. Obituary are extremely excited to get this new album out as it is a true depiction of their origin sound and style.

‘My Will To Live’ is the third new single released alongside a lyric video and was one of the last songs Obituary wrote for this album. It’s a classic Obituary song and gives a good scope into what to expect with ‘Dying Of Everything’

Opening with the rustic feels from the guitars and drums, the atmosphere feels like you’ve been taken back into time.

Retaining their novel 80s sound, it is crisp, clean and offers some ferociousness too.

A perfect compliment and representation of Obituary and a luring powerful addition.

If this is the fragment of what us listeners should expect, then strap onto your seat belts! It’s going to be a grand offering from the legendary death metallers.
