Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Creativity can be a heavy burden, especially when you’re at the mercy of a muse that leads you to conjure up something truly unique.

Such is the yoke Teiger have to bear, their distinctive sound being equal parts utterly fresh yet dappled with some intangibly familiar elements that are just held tantalisingly out of reach.

The second single of their forthcoming debut album, ‘Come and Find Me’ sees the band on seductive form, the twisting rhythms curling and dancing like smoke.

Here the gently burbling and smooth instrumentation underpins the sense of something spectral, the vocals sensual and full of faintly whispered undercurrents that offer either heaven or hell.

Come and Find Me’ is like a warm embrace, safe and content, but with that imperceptible suspicion that one of the hands cradling you holds a stiletto that any moment may be plunged straight through your back and deep into your heart. Wonderful, edgy, sexy and slightly chilling, Teiger have hit the sweet spot again.

Teiger are:
Talie Rose Eigeland: vocals/ guitar
Jon Steel: drums
Philip Eldridge-Smith: bass
