Call to the Faithful have shared a music video for their new single ‘Knife to a Gunfight’. Following first single ‘Let Me Down’, the second single from the band’s upcoming debut EP STRONG / STABLE / SUFFER is a politically charged, purposeful fight for the underdog.

On ‘Knife to a Gunfight’, the band comment: “This song is us taking aim at the government, the hopeless succession of party leaders and how powerless we felt to change anything. The odds are deliberately stacked against us by those with the power which they abuse and the desperate depths they will go to in order to keep the balance weighted in their favour.
The metaphor of having a knife at a gunfight is representative of that power imbalance and how the public will always be the underdog in the fight for equality, but we want to inspire people to show that sometimes, if we work together, perhaps the underdogs can win that fight.
Peterborough alt-punk quartet Call to the Faithful have been winning over fans with their electrifying live shows and passionate performances across the UK.
The band was born out of a burning desire to shake things up and inspire a new generation of the disillusioned to fight for what they believe in. Following opening single ‘Let Me Down’, a track which elevated the band’s rising reputation internationally with placement on Apple Music’s New Rock editorial playlists, Call to the Faithful are clapping back with Knife to a Gunfight.
It’s the second offering from their debut EP STRONG / STABLE / SUFFER, and a fierce declaration of their unyielding spirit and uncompromising vision.
With influences that range from nu-metal to punk, the band refuse to be pigeonholed. Their music is a raw, unapologetic expression of the frustration, anger and passion inspired by the modern age. Whether they’re delivering blistering guitar riffs or spitting acerbic vocal hooks, this band makes their presence felt.
But Call to the Faithful are more than just a band; they’re a movement. They’re a voice for a generation that refuses to be silenced or marginalised. Their music is both anthemic and introspective, exploring themes of resilience, perseverance, and hope in the face of adversity.
It speaks to the struggles and triumphs of young people today, whether it’s the fight for social justice, the battle against mental illness, or the search for meaning in a world that often seems cruel and senseless.
Drawing influences from Turnstile, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Kid Kapichi, the quartet have positioned themselves firmly on the live circuit with their own tour in April 2022, on top of supporting the likes of Press Club, Kill The Lights, Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison and Glitchers.
2023 will see the band continue to hit the road across the UK with another tour announced to promote the EP in September 2023, with appearances at Lume Fest London (alongside Dream State & Lake Malice), Breaking Bands Festival and Willow Fest Peterborough already under their belt.
