The French hardcore/metalcore unit STONED released its newest EP “Rebirth” via Music-Records on September 30th.
The EP is a must-listen for fans of classic metalcore since the band pays tribute to 2000’s bands such as Parkway Drive, Trivium, Five Finger Death Punch, and Black Bomb A.
The listening begins with “Run Baby Run”, including an acoustic intro that moves to metalcore riffs that are perfect for headbanging, before catching fans off-guard with a melodic chorus.
On “Get Cracking”,the band delivers slow yet deliberate simple riffs that effectively trigger the nostalgia of 2000’s metalcore music. If the EP has a ballad, the last song and the bonus track, “Just One Beer”, is definitely it. The song has all the hallmarks of becoming a staple at metal bars. At the end, the band performs “Just One Beer” again as an acoustic version, bringing the EP to a poetic close.

STONED is a French band whose influences range from Parkway Drive, Trivium, FFDP, Get The Shot, and Black Bomb A. The band recorded its self-produced, self-titled debut EP in 2019. After releasing the EP, they saw a line-up change.
Once again consolidated, they set about composing a new EP that would be more aggressive and modern. This second work, entitled “Rebirth”, was released on September 30th via the label Music-Records.
