Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

Like an absolute tidal wave of sound, East Anglian combo Hedra bring this latest barnstorming slab of modern metal that is somehow crushingly yet uplifting.

Full of fight and fire, the quartet have added a lot of melody to their big riffing punch and ‘The Fear Inside’ sparkles with a grimy light that’s as hard as nails whilst sporting a hook that really gets under the skin.

Filled with a steely determination and anger, this is a song about fighting for what is rightfully yours as you stand against giants of your own making, the battle constantly raging. Ultimately triumphant, there’s a touching heart, soulfulness and hope here amongst the chaos and it’s to that cord we cling to.

With guest vocals from Craig Keeling of Junction 28 adding their own layers, this is Hedra’s finest hour yet and displays they’re ready to take on all comers.
