Blitzkrieg, the legendary NWOBHM band that was pivotal to the movement back in the early 80s, will release a new studio album this year, in September.

The album, which will feature ten tracks, is fully recorded and will be available via Mighty Music.

The group gained notoriety in 1984 when Metallica included a version of their song “Blitzkrieg” in the B-side of the “Creeping Death” single (and later in the “Garage Inc” compilation). In the following years, they released ten studio albums.

This new album is released six years after “Judge Not!”, which saw the light of day in 2018. Blitzkrieg features the founding member and singer Brian Ross (also of Satan fame), as well as his son and long-time Blitzkrieg guitar player Alan Ross. The line-up also includes drummer Matthew Graham, bassist Liam Ferguson and guitar player Nick Jennison.

The first single will be released on July 5th, together with all the album details, such as the title, tracking list, artwork and pre-orders.

Lineup:
Brian Ross: lead vocals
Nick Jennison: guitar, vocals
Alan Ross: guitar, vocals
Liam Ferguson: bass
Matthew Graham: drums
