His website describes his musical output as “Soul drenched Southern rock and American” which is, indeed, accurate to a degree. Listen closer and you’ll take in vivid daubs of Stateside country juxtaposing with 12 bar shuffles akin to classic Status Quo.
His latest album ‘Borrowed Time, released mid-April, was some four years in the coming after 2020’s ‘The Church House Sessions EP’ but Tom takes it all in his capable stride as he wildly blazes along an upwardly directed trail. There’s much to be justifiably satisfied with and even more to look forward to.
Most certainly in the “One to watch” category Tom looks forward to his solo acoustic shows of which two remain – 23rd June in Sheffield and in Rotherham a week later on 30th June – whilst reflecting on an ass-kicking set at Call Of The Wild.
Ahead lies three dates “down south” with Stateside rocking rollers Preacher Stone along with a varied selection of festival slots including SOS, Rockwich, NWOCR and Whitby Blues.
