New York-based, goth-inspired, social sensations LUDOVICO TECHNIQUE recently cracked 1 million Spotify streams of their track, “Poisoned.” It’s a notable accomplishment, not least because it’s actually their fifth song to reach this milestone, two more of which (“Haunted“, “Noise Is Gone“) are also from mesmerising current album Haunted People.
Ludovico Technique‘s nucleus is singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ben V. When touring, Ben V. typically assembles a live band of nameless wraiths to perform with him. The band originally drew inspiration from premier goth/industrial acts like Skinny Puppy, The Sisters of Mercy, Type O Negative, Rammstein, and Rob Zombie, creating a unique, complex take on gothic alternative music.
