“Alien Hip Hop” brilliantly encapsulates the essence of PANZERBALLETT‘s genre-defying style, effortlessly blending metal’s raw intensity with the sophisticated intricacies of jazz fusion. Drummer Virgil Donati, known globally for his groundbreaking rhythmical prowess, elevates this track, delivering an awe-inspiring performance filled with explosive energy and unmatched precision.
Jan Zehrfeld, guitarist and founder of PANZERBALLETT, shares his thoughts on the single:
“If there were a ‘Metal Fusion Real Book,’ this tune would be on page one. Since Virgil Donati’s first version in the late 1990s, it has evolved through multiple transformations. This latest ‘Panzer’ version #5 pushes its rhythmic and structural complexity to a whole new level, with profound shifts that keep the listener on edge and the energy surging.
Known for their virtuosic musicianship and engaging performances, PANZERBALLETT continue their tradition of delivering music that challenges and captivates listeners in equal measure. “Alien Hip Hop” is not only a showcase of exceptional musicianship but a bold statement of creative freedom and artistic innovation.
The upcoming album Übercode Œuvre features contributions from a stellar lineup of international musicians, including Marco Minnemann, Anika Nilles, Sebastian Lanser, and others, promising to be one of the most compelling releases of 2025.
