Seattle pop punk outfit BABY AND THE NOBODIES have released the lyric video for “Bombs Away,” the debut single from their upcoming Ready Or Not album, set for release at the end of May through F-Bomb Records.

The video can be seen here.
Produced by Jonathan Plum (Alice in Chains, Ann Wilson, Candlebox and more) and recorded at the legendary London Bridge Studios – home to records by the likes of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone and Queensryche, just to name a few – “Bombs Away,” along with the rest of Ready Or Not, is a hard driving, take-no-shit track that grabs you by the throat within the first thirty seconds and refuses to let go.
As for the song, lead guitarist Rev James reveals, “It – along with five other songs from Ready Or Not – was tracked in a single day. All of us were professional, quick studies and passionate about creating. Working with Jonathan Plum as our engineer, producer and longtime friend helps quite a bit. We all had an idea of how these songs should sound in our heads, and somehow all of us ended up in the same place, which is amazing.
“Bombs Away” is sort of a “Screw you, I don’t need you anymore, if I ever really needed you in the first place” song. I came up with the chorus and title first, I knew it was “Bombs Away” before I really knew what “Bombs Away” meant in this case. It’s like letting it all out. Here’s the truth bomb about the way you are as a human. The truth bomb about the way you have forced me to feel about you.
The ultimate truth about why I am no longer interested in even knowing who or what you are because you despise me.
One of the best things about writing songs is that you get to involve yourself in different scenarios than you would normally be involved in. When I write, I don’t really tap into my own personal feelings about anything in particular, but I definitely try to get into the feeling of the song, how the people may act and feel, figuring out what could have caused the desire to say these things to someone. As you take on and internalize all roles involved and you personalize them and feel what they would feel. Just because I might not write from my personal experiences all the time, it still becomes personal, if you can wrap your head around that whole statement.”
