Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM
There’s something stirring in the Valleys right now with Those Damn Crows rapidly heading to arena-filling status and Haxan releasing the finest track of their career so far.
Arguably the best trio to emerge from Wales since Budgie, the outfit have worked tirelessly on the road honing their craft and winning new converts to their cause wherever they’ve played.

With the band blowing away audiences all the way from Aberystwyth to Australia it’s been both their live shows and the material that have caught the imagination but new single ‘Thirteenth Hour’ is a massive step forward on their path to conquer the globe.
From the throbbing and captivating opening of the drums and bass, it suddenly takes off and takes flight. With echoes of the high quality hard rock that Rainbow played in the late 70’s, there’s much to love here as the powerful verse and chorus thrill, the songwriting and structure nothing short of dazzling.
This all heralds a new era for Haxan and it’s one that should see them really break through massively. They’ve fought for every victory and this is their time to get acknowledged and shine. Magnificent.
