West Country rockers Hamartia have an uncanny knack of mixing absolute sugar rush anthems with huge guitars and singer Sophie Smith’s gorgeous mellifluous vocals, the elements coming together into something you can dance or throw yourself around to with equal ease.
With the tremendous ‘Bloom’ and ‘Is This It?’ singles oozing the sort of quality some bands wait a lifetime to achieve, there’s certainly something very special here and matched with a kinetic live show, they’re tipped to be one of THE crossover bands of the year.
Hard hitting and incandescently melodic, this is a band built for good times and huge stages. We spoke to Sophie about the local scene, hopes for things to come and get schooled on how to say the band name properly…
