A stunningly beautiful country, Sweden has brought us such wide ranging musical delights as ABBA, Roxette, The Hives, The Cardigans, Europe, Ghost, Arch Enemy, Opeth and Candlemass amongst many others.
The latest act to see themselves on this stellar rollcall are the eclectically named Chasing Penguins, a quintet based in Kalmar, who have captured the joyous spirit of punk pop and given it all their very own twist.
The arrival of singer Sanna Hill into the fold has elevated their sound and profile into something that can’t (and shouldn’t) be ignored, her effervescent presence at the mic perfectly complimenting the madness the outfit display. With the fresh line-up’s irresistible first single ‘Bitter Glory’ followed by the glorious anthem ‘Curtain Call’, these Penguins are already drawing much attention and love all over the world and it won’t be long before the band reach some big international stages.
