Russian-born, Lancashire-based bedlamcore artist n0trixx has released her new single ‘hysteria [БЕГN]’, the latest song to be taken from the debut album A Catalogue of Madness and Melancholia out March 13th.

The album is available to pre-order here.

‘hysteria [БЕГN]’ tackles Depression with a propulsive beat as Suicidal Ideation grows with her twisted rap flows in her native tongue. Written during a severe depressive episode, this track is n0trixx’s most vulnerable offering. The mind loops through dark possibilities, searching for escape, while the word “БЕГИ” (run) echoes like a haunting command. It is a sonic manifestation of being trapped inside your own despair.

The video directed by n0trixx captures this suicidal ideation in the manifestation of an eerie stalker, who upon each step and corner turn becomes ever more imposing and inescapable.

Regarding the single n0trixx says, “This song means more to me than I can put into words. It’s a celebration. About two years ago I was walking through one of the darkest periods of my life and I was on the edge of ending it. What stopped me from doing something stupid were my two little ones – I obviously couldn’t do that to them. So I powered through. I survived.

This song was written during that crisis. I remember the lyrics coming to me while I was routinely planning my escape. It was giving me that sense of control over my life. And I just put all of that disturbing feeling into a song.

When I was producing the instrumental to it, I didn’t want it to sound depressing. I wanted to break the cliches. You can be dancing through your life and still desperately wanting it to end.”

The forthcoming debut album A Catalogue of Madness and Melancholia captures, addresses, and reflects on several different mental health issues that have had a profound impact on n0trixx.

Continuing about the album she says, “A Catalogue of Madness and Melancholia is a journey into the depths of a troubled mind. I was halfway through writing the album when I realised that every track I was working on was a sonic representation of a certain mental health issue. Further into the album, I managed to create a unique collection of disorders in an audio form. It invites the listener to experience what it might be like to struggle with one of these but also stresses how important it is to take care of mental wellbeing.”

n0trixx announced the album in December with the release of lead single ‘Revenge On God feat. Yentl Cambre’, a song which reflects the devasting effects of Dementia with a barrage of heavy riffs alongside a fierce rap flow, screams, and dark trap beats. ‘harmless feat. Sarunas Brazionis’ followed in January and the juxtaposing majestic track echoes Borderline Personality Disorder.

A Catalogue of Madness and Melancholia weaves through soundscapes reflecting the torn and fractured mind, building to accept healing, while ultimately concluding with a mantra of self-acceptance and closure.

Permanently residing in Britain on the Global Talent Visa program for her music after fleeing Russia following her arrest for protesting the war in Ukraine, while also living with Dissociative Identity Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder, n0trixx reflects her life battle with darkness and suffering throughout all of her art.

A Catalogue of Madness and Melancholia is self-written and self-produced, while the accompanying artworks are also designed by n0trixx. Her live shows are an equally honest, intense, and captivating experience. She has announced a twelve date UK tour for March 2026.
