There’s no question that Birmingham is THE home of Heavy Metal, the Midlands city boasting more than its fair share of legends and newcomers alike.
Vying for their own place in the superleagues, Vanitas have been bringing their own special brew of symphonic influenced metal to the masses and it’s only a matter of time before the world wakes to their not inconsiderable charms.
Calling their style ‘cinematic djent’, latest offering ‘Your Demise’ sees the band throwing themselves bodily into truly crushing territory, the track their darkest yet.
Twisting with some furious riffs along with the showstopping clean and growled vocals of Jade Maris, the number grabs you from the opening moment and just doesn’t let you go as it drags you kicking and screaming into their world.
Full of drama and their trademark highs and lows, this is a number to truly get your teeth into and should be played in front of a sea of ravenous metalheads. Give in and dive in. Go on, you know you want to.
