Norwegian Stoners,Bokassa, crashed into the O2 Academy Birmingham like a shot of adrenaline, thirty minutes of scrappy, hyper-riffed stoner-punk that felt equal parts pogo and power-chord sermon.

Review & Photography by Manny Manson KK’s Steel Mill is already alive when Urne walk on, and they don’t soften the room or ask for permission. They step straight into it, four songs, no padding, no chatter, and a sound that immediately tells you this band understands weight, space, and patience. Urne formed in London in 2016, and while they’ve …
Slipping into December’s double digits we return to one of our favourite Cardiff venues – the Tramshed – for further escapism from the over-commercialised aspects of the season.
Hometown show for the Downpatrick three piece and a packed Ulster Hall is ready for them to hit the stage, now I have to say these guys are not a band I have massively listened to over the years so let’s see what the set has to offer!!
The O2 Academy Birmingham had been straining at the seams long before the doors opened, the kind of anticipatory pressure you can feel in the concrete under your boots and in the jittering conversations that ricochet around a sold-out venue when people know they’re about to witness something they’ll remember for years.
If you were trying to get through Nottingham, on Saturday evening, you’d have wondered what the hell was happening! Gridlock was the order of the day; the air was full of tension as the traffic, slowly, inched past the Motorpoint Arena like a drunken slug.
Brighton seafront in December: windswept, salty, and bracing enough to wake the dead. Step inside Concorde 2 though, and you’re hit with a different kind of storm, one of sweat, heat, and glorious noise. This tiny Victorian venue, with its 600 capacity frame
And so, we venture to Glasgow on the first Saturday of December 2025 to bear witness to Katatonia’s UK & Europe 2025 Tour in support of their excellent studio album “Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking State”.

Winter is truly here on this cold and brisk December evening. As we approach the beautiful and eye catching Waterfront Hall, we observe the diversity of eager fans to see the majestic yet dark Gary Numan.
Second night for me up at the historic Ulster Hall and I am interested to see what the age group is like compared to last nights Answer doing Zep gig, decent sized crowd in here already on a wet Sunday night.
It was another one of those Wolverhampton nights where the cold doesn’t just sit in the air, it lays claim to the whole street outside KK’s Steel Mill, turning people into silhouettes hustling in through the doors because they know warmth and noise are waiting on the inside.
With a growing reputation as one of the best singer/songwriters to come out of Suffolk since a certain Mr Sheeran emerged onto the scene, Cam T certainly has music in his blood.
It is a brave task to step up and take this on, iconic band and set, absolutely packed house tonight as well, but, I can’t think of a better band to attempt this one, it’s near 9pm and the lights go down!
Things have a habit of going ‘full circle’ in life. Whilst the warm welcome from the Tramshed’s security and front of house staff remains constant behind the scenes there’s change.
The doors at bp pulse LIVE had barely finished humming when the first chords cut through the cavernous bowl of the arena and, for anyone who came for the whole ride, the night announced itself as one of those rare shows where each band, opener, support and headline, felt like its own fully realised universe but somehow also part of the same, fevered dream.
