“Wake Up The Neighbourhood” is bringing the kind of elemental electricity that only The Treatment can summon. Get ready to set your inhibitions alight, and enjoy the true passion and everlasting freedom classic rock has to offer.

Releasing on the 10th of May, The Treatment are promising to cure your boredom and lethargy with 11 gripping tracks. Full of hard rock charm and a fresh approach to their melodic artistry, this album is sure to please The Treatment’s devoted fanbase.

The early part of this album is full of electric, tangible spirit, channelled through amazing musical composition and brilliant songwriting.

The opening track “Let’s Wake Up This Town” is full of classic 80’s rock influences, with stunningly dynamic vocals by Tom Rampton, reminiscent of AC/DC’s Brian Johnson.

These first few tracks are also home to some epic guitar solos, and overall the sound and tonality of this album is just… awesome.

Track three, “When Thunder And Lightning Strike” is actually already out as a single, and what a way to summon and ready listeners for this upcoming album.

This song contains mountains of energy, for sure, but more than that, it commands a kind of otherworldly power that feels in the best possible way, ritualistic.

As a listener, there becomes a craving to be there in person, and to feel the true exhilaration of this track live in the flesh. If The Treatment have managed to capture those kinds of palpable and enticing feelings in a four and a half minute song, I imagine seeing this live would be a truly religious experience.

One of my favourite songs on the album is track six, titled: “I Can’t Wait No Longer”. This song takes a different form than many others on the album, giving us a rock ballad that reminded me of classics like Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain”, or Aerosmith’s “Crazy”.

Much like the latter half of this album, the lyrics tend to be more personal, and at times, even inspirational.

This is shouted from the rooftops in track 9, “Free Yourself”. The overarching message running throughout this album is that The Treatment are giving you permission to let go, be yourself and simply have fun.

This anthemic style of classic rock is bold and confident, and invites the listener to be influenced by the fearlessness of the music.

Overall, I really enjoyed this album. Being rooted with wonderful musicianship from the whole band and excellent songwriting, it allows the focal point to be the passion, energy and spirit that this album contains, making it a visceral experience for the listener.
