DELAIN confirm UK & Ireland tour for November 2024

It’s already been more than a year since Dutch metal maestros DELAIN dazzled British audiences onstage. But fans can now get excited again, for the rejuvenated five-piece will return to the UK and Ireland in November 2024, showcasing stellar tracks from their latest album release, Dark Waters, amongst other fan favourite classic tracks.

DELAIN enthuse, “UK and IRELAND, we’re coming for YOU! After the great success in London and Manchester earlier, we decided to come back with a dedicated tour across the islands to party with you guys once again!”

Joining them for all dates will be West Mids rock squad STONE BROKEN and progressive metal musician DAMIAN WILSON.

DELAIN are well known the world over for their unique sound – catchy, bombastic tunes and the highest standard of orchestral arrangements. Joining Martijn Westerholt, original guitarist Ronald Landa and original drummer Sander Zoer have returned to the fold bolstering DELAIN’s continuity, while newest members – the nightingale-throated Diana Leah and bassist Ludovico Cioffi – continue to evolve their sound. With the release of their seventh album, Dark Waters, in February 2023, DELAIN clearly demonstrated they’re at the top of their game.

Heralded by critics and fans alike, Dark Waters songs like The Quest and The Curse as well as “The Cold” (the latter featuring an epic choir), lure with their characteristic, huge sound that skilfully combine orchestral melodies, crushing riffs, and soaring vocals. Beneath” (which has clocked up well over 1M video views) perfectly showcases the talent and musical sophistication of new vocalist Diana Leah. Pop-infused opening track “Hideaway Paradise” induces a dream-like feeling that flirts with melodic metal guitars, while the ballad-like dark earworm “Mirror Of Night”, guest features Within Temptation guitarist Ruud Jolie“Tainted Hearts” is centred around Westerholt‘s keyboard arrangements, skilfully displaying the creative roots of the group’s mastermind. “Invictus” is nothing less than the Magnum Opus of the album – a rock opera in its own right with heavy riffs, choirs, and vocal parts performed by Diana Leah, Paolo Ribaldini, and Marko Hietala (ex-Nightwish), closing with a unified, jaw-dropping climax.

Ranging from pop, to film score-inspired soundscapes, to blistering, room-shaking metal, Dark Waters displays all aspects and colours of DELAIN‘s multifaceted spectrum.
