Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM
One of the world’s biggest and best supergroups is back and they’re certainly ready to kick door all the doors.
Firing on all cylinders and roaring like a supercharged drag racer, BCC are running on nitro as the four perfect elements come together into this slick and powerful machine.
Shimmering with a barely controlled gravitas, this is world shifting stuff as the soulful voice and throbbing bass of Hughes, blazing fretwork of Bonamassa, wallop of Bonham and thrill of Sherinian’s keys explode into something that has class and yet still has that visceral thrill of rock ‘n’ roll.
Timing is everything and with all of the quartet living lives that never stop, this chance to hear them pause, reunite and bring out something so damn good is cause for celebration.
With the new album looming on the horizon, this is a truly phenomenal return and one that couldn’t have come a minute too soon. Stunning.
