Review by Paul Monkhouse for MPM

In a world full of mediocrity and blandness where over-polished production and big dance routines are seemingly king, it’s great to shake things up with something authentic and raw like Crymwav.

Taken from their ’24/7′ album, ‘Sense of Adventure’ is a dirty little bruiser that glories in its old school rock ‘n’ roll sensibilities, melody vying with an air of danger like a switchblade wrapped in a silk gloved hand.

With vocalist Roger Deering wielding the lyrics like a threat, the fretwork of Lloyd Stuart Casson bringing the swaggering riff and the huge groove of Bruce Braddock’s bass and the drums of Greg Rogers, Crymwav are an unstoppable force.

Making the sort of sleazy and honest noise that so many had assigned to the history books, it’s damn good to feel that electric thrill once more.

New Crymwav single is available on most all streaming platforms..
